Enrollment Status

If you have already submitted the required documents for your hold(s), there is NO need to resubmit. Resubmitting the same documentation will only cause delays.

Instructions:

  1. Review the hold on your enrollment and read each section carefully. Each section will describe the documents or forms that are required to satisfy your enrollment holds. All enrollment holds must be satisfied for your enrollment to be submitted to the utility.
  2. Once you have uploaded your documentation, you must enter the email address and select the [SUBMIT] button for your submission to be completed. We will respond to you within 3 business days.

Documentation Guidelines:

  1. Images must be in PNG, JPEG, PDF or .doc format
  2. Images must be high-quality, unobstructed, legible and uncropped
  3. Images must show a full document page or, in case of state or national ID photocards, both sides of the card
  4. Documents must be valid and not expired

We’ll need a copy of two of the following valid forms of identification:

  • Valid, unexpired state-issued identification card (front & back)
  • Driver’s License from the United States (front & back)
  • Passport (complete pages above and below or both sides of the fold)
  • Alien Registration card (front & back)
  • Consulate ID/Matricula Consular (for any country front & back)
  • Texas Concealed Handgun License (front & back)

Deposit Options

  1. You can make a payment online to satisfy the deposit requirement.
  2. An additional option for paying a deposit, you may qualify to have your deposit requirement waived by submitting one (1) of the documents listed below.  (Note: Only the first option is available for business accounts.)
Option 1 (Residential and Business)

Provide three consecutive invoices from your current electric service provider, showing each has been paid in full. To qualify for this waiver option, the three invoices must reflect the following:

  • Have been a customer of any REP or electric utility within 3 consecutive months prior to the request start date for service
  • Invoices presented must be the most recent, consecutive, unaltered bills from your current electric provider
  • Have had no late fees or disconnect for non-payment fees on any of the presented electric service invoices
Option 2 (Residential only)

Senior citizen age 65 or older: Please submit a copy of one of the following:

  • Valid, unexpired state-issued identification card
  • Driver's license from the United States
  • Passport
  • Alien Registration card
  • Consulate ID / Matricula Consular (for any country)
  • Texas Concealed Handgun License
Option 3 (Residential only)

You are active military personnel: To qualify for this option, you must provide a copy of current military orders.

Option 4 (Residential only)

Victim of family violence: Requires certification letter/waiver for electric service, which you should have received from the Texas Council on Family Violence, treating medical personnel, law enforcement personnel, the office of a Texas district attorney or county attorney, the office of the attorney general or grantees of the Texas Equal Access to Justice Foundation. Letter/waiver must be dated within the past 12 months. If you do not have the completed documentation, you may obtain it from your caseworker. Please do not submit police reports, protective orders or other letters.

Option 5 (Residential only)

Pay in Installments: Low-income customers may be eligible to pay a deposit that exceeds $50 in two (2) equal installments. Submit a copy of one of the following documents. The document must be in the XOOM Energy account holder's name.

  • Texas Health and Human Services benefits award letter
  • Medicaid award letter
  • Proof of eligibility for food stamps
  • AFDC/TANF (welfare) documentation

Switch Hold Details
